Local Non-Profit Organization Helping Youth Get Started in Hockey
ELMHA is pleased to share that we have partnered with Gooday, Let's Play, a non-profit organization that helps local kids participate in organized minor hockey associations, the lifeblood of local hockey.

Gooday, Let's Play support consists of funding for all or a portion of registration fee for children and youth, 18 years old or younger, that are first year registrants in the Initiation Program who desire to start playing the game of hockey . They will also help our local minor hockey associations which consist of Dresden, Bothwell/Glencoe, West Lorne, Alvinston/Watford respectively provide new and used equipment for those who are currently experiencing difficulty raising enough funds to fully participate in the game they love. It all starts with a child in need who has a desire to play hockey. With all of our support, more children will be able to stay physically active, acquire life skills, create friendships and everlasting memories.

Alvinston Optimist Club
Optimist Club of Alvinston Districts started in 1978. We are a group of 65 strong. We help the youth of our community in many ways as possible (team sports, youth dances, literacy programs, HOBY, VIP programs and more). We have donated time and money towards such community improvement such as the library, playground equipment, baseball diamonds and a sports park. In the future, wish to add more community projects to that list. We are committed to our community and the youth within. When you come to check us out you will get a free meal and a fun evening out, with a lot of laughter! Contact an Optimist member or call Marjorie Cumming at 519-898-2946, if you wish to come.
